Practice your bad golf Shots

Golfers in general love to hit big booming drives down the fairway and in fairness when they go to the driving range this is the case with practice.

In this Mental Golf Instruction Artcle we ask what really is the point of going to the driving range/practice ground and hitting shots that you are already probably reasonably good at.

You have to be disciplined and practice only the shots that “You are not good at” or shots that “Frighten the life out of you” when you are on the course.

It doesn’t matter what level of golf you play now. If you take some time, and more importantly have the mental strength to only practise these shots for a couple of weeks, then your scores will be lower.

Why will your scores be lower?

Because after practicing your worse shots for a couple of weeks, not only will your technique improve but the results of these shots will be better, which in turn leads to more confidence with a particular type of shot.

The best way to do this is to pick 3 shots which you find the most difficult and focus on a practice routine for each of these.
