Is Golf Just One Long Summer……….. Full of Injuries
Hi Guys,
I was just sitting drinking a coffee this morning and just think about the golf season here in Poland. The season is coming to a close soon as the weather is now turning cold and I presume we will start to get our first covering of snow by early December and this can normally last through until at least February.
For many amateur golfers have a season (Spring through to late Autumn) and they play their years quota of golf during this period.
But now they way the professional tours are set up a pro golfer can play year round golf in a warm climate, now of course that is really nice, their is nothing better than playing 18 holes with the sun on your back.
But……….. what does all this golf do the physical well being of the pro golfer. It has been intersting to see some of the top young golfers struggling with injuries over the past few years. If you take Justin Rose, Luke Donald (Who missed the Ryder Cup) and another Brit David Howell who just a few years ago was looking like a world beater until injury took it’s toll and he had to cut down is schedule.
At least Howell is on his way back to some sort of form resembling his game a few years back and that is great to see.
But it still begs the question??? Is their too much golf.
I for one have really missed watching Tiger Woods this season and again it seems like too much golf has taken an effect here.
Would love to know your comments on this.
All the best
Richard
